Sipario is the robotic system developed by Atlanta Robotics for the automatic removal of film or strapping from pallets.

In most lines equipped with a depalletising system, this operation is still carried out by an operator.

It is precisely at this stage – which has not yet been automated – that Sipario comes into play: a system that eliminates the need for manual intervention, thereby improving safety, efficiency and operational continuity.

Thanks to its multi-function head equipped with sensors, the robot identifies the load’s geometry and cuts the heat-shrink film, stretch film or strapping with extremely high precision, adapting to the shape of the pallets in real time via a series of sensors. This allows for the fully automatic handling of pallets of various shapes and sizes with maximum precision.

The film and strapping are removed without exerting pressure on the palletised product, thus preventing falls or breakages and optimising this end-of-line phase to ensure production continuity and minimise line downtime.
